Youth Ministries
Youth ministry is an integral part of the whole ministry of the Cathedral of St. Philip. The youth ministry programs exists so that all youth can find their place and participate as full members of our faith community through involvement in all aspects of the parish.
Youth ministry at the Cathedral of St. Philip encompasses the following key components:
Participation in Worship:
Strengthening personal spiritual growth through attending services, serving as readers and acolytes during the liturgy, and participating in many aspects of the Cathedral worship community.Bible Study and Faith Formation:
Increasing knowledge, understanding and experience of the Christian faith, life, and mission through study and practice.Building Community:
Experiencing Christian love, fellowship, and fun with peers and adult mentors through joyful expressions of our faith as we journey together.Faithful Mission and Service:
Participating in the global ministry and mission of God’s church through service, stewardship, witness, and evangelism.
Youth Confirmation Classes
Below is the schedule for meeting times. All classes will be on Sunday afternoons from 4–6 p.m. Classes will begin in Child Hall for large group presentations by our Canons and then break into small groups for discussions. The program ends with a weekend retreat for all participants, adult leaders, and high school mentors.

Retreat Weekend: April 19-21 at Camp Mikell in Toccoa, GA. We depart Friday afternoon and return Sunday afternoon.
Sunday Morning Youth Sunday School
We gather on Sunday mornings for J2A classes.
Time: 10:10-11:00 a.m. in Youth Room 382
Who: Grades 6-12
Sunday Evening EYC Gatherings
We gather on Sunday evenings for EYC fun, fellowship, and snacks.
- Middle School meets 5-6:00 p.m.
- Dinner for all youth 6-6:30 p.m.
- High School meets 6:30-7:30 p.m.
Meet in Youth Room 382
Tuesday Evening Bible Study
(and Fellinis Pizza!)
We gather on Tuesday evenings for Bible study and pizza.
Time: 6:30-8:00 p.m. Meet on the Labyrinth*
Who: Grades 6-12
*for inclement weather we will meet in Youth Room 382
Please bring $10.00 to cover the cost of pizza and a drink, or PAY HERE
Every youth is welcome to participate in the Cathedral’s youth ministry program. Whether it is faith formation, acolyting, youth choir, mission and service work, ski trips or rafting adventures; each is sure to find a place here.
